Pasta with Vodka Sauce

Ingredients: 1 medium onion 3 or 4 cloves garlic 1 and 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon dried chili pepper flakes 1 cup vodka 2 cans tomatoes (28 ounces) 3/4 cup heavy double cream 1/2 cup parmesan cheese 3/4 pound penne pasta salt pepper ****Note**** the canned tomatoes that I used had no salt in them, so if yours have salt added you will not need nearly as much salt as I used.

    I wish that I had an immersion blender, I only cooled it down because? of the regular blender.
    Go for it and thanks!

  21. boyd1876 Jan 27th 2012

    @freitasex any idea of skipping the? cooling step would have any adverse effects? I was considering just using an immersion stick blender

  23. ArgoSG Jan 27th 2012

    I urge everyone to not just watch this video. Just MAKE it. Make garlic bread, really. It’s worth putting in all the effort and not skipping anything. Try to get the best ingredients and just MAKE THIS. You haven’t lived until you’ve made this. JUST DO IT. Set a goddamn date? right now and do it.

  24. freitasex Jan 27th 2012

    @ashmariie24
    You do not have to blend it, a? rustic chunky style would be fine.
